  • After working with Mike for a full year I have had tremendous improvement. I get a lot of compliments and get asked if I lost weight often. My biggest reward has been better core strength due to a focus on posture that has kept my lower back pain from flaring up. Since working out with Mike twice a week whenever possible I feel stronger, see definition and have great endurance. He has worked around two full time employment schedules and encouraged us in our vegan lifestyle. Recently I shared a goal with Mike and I can already see that goal becoming a reality following his coaching.

  • A year ago I had never set foot in a gym. Not really knowing where to start I felt a few sessions with a personal trainer was a good option. I was looking to gain some muscle mass and just get in better shape. A few sessions have turned into a year long relationship, training three times a week. I have gained 20 pounds of muscle and feel fantastic. I will NEVER train with a personal trainer other than Mike. Having spent a fair amount of time in the gym over the last year it is obvious that Mike is a cut above other trainers. His extensive expertise and knowledge are impressive. And Mike ‘walks the walk’. If you are going to work with a trainer, you certainly don’t want to work a flabby, out of shape ‘wanna be’. His level of commitment to his own fitness is inspirational. One of the best qualities is his approachableness. As a somewhat ‘scrawny’ presence in the gym, Mike made me feel comfortable from day one and genuinely has been, and continues to be, focused on my success and well-being. Do yourself a favor and meet with him at least once. You won’t be sorry!

  • I’m 44, a mother of two, have always been very active and fit. I had a series of injuries and foot surgery a year ago that set me back. I no longer recognized the shape of my body because I could workout. (Not that my workout was getting me what I wanted —  I was doing a lot of cardio and a lot of reps with light wrights, eating organically, but miserable with my body and its composition.)

    I watched Mike transform other people at our gym. I could not take it any longer, I wanted my shot. I went big and trained with him five days a week.

    Who would have thought that three weeks training with Mike, I’d be down 7 pounds and noticing abs (I’ve never had abs, ever), noticing muscles? It’s true, and it just keeps getting better.

    Who would have thought I needed heavy weight? Who would have thought my foot and hip would feel better and that I would be able to move so well again?

    I’m in the middle of MY transformation. I have not reached my goal. I seem to be setting new goals weekly. I’m strong physically and it’s made me strong mentally.

    So grateful to Mike for giving me the gift of living in my body happily. I’m no linger miserable. I’m proud of the round muscles I’m developing. I’m proud I can make it through his daily workouts. I’m proud my children see me taking care of myself, so they will themselves.

  • I began trying to lose weight four years ago when I realized that I was miserable in my own skin and did not like the person I was inside. I weighed 201 pounds and would not let myself near a camera. I was afraid of being around other people for fear of what they would think of my body. Clothing felt uncomfortable always and I hated to shop for myself. My self-concept was ugly and persistently negative. The woman you see in that picture is smiling, but she is wretched inside.

    When I decided to change how I felt and looked and started working out regularly, I had no idea what I was doing, so I simply tried to lose weight spending hours on the cardio machines at the gym. I lost close to 70 pounds, but because I was not lifting weights regularly and I had no control over my food intake, I gained 30 pounds back almost immediately. I couldn’t seem to get my weight under control, nor could I gain muscle and lose fat in the areas where I really wanted to lean out.

    When I first met Mike, I was about three years into “working out” and I had just started to lift weights, hoping that it would help me become stronger and leaner. He kept approaching me at the gym and asking me when we were going to work out. Before then, I had been so hesitant to work with a trainer because I believed I was going to fail in whatever task he or she would give me. But I did not feel that from Mike.

    From the very start of our time together, Mike has encouraged me and told me that I can do more than I think I can. Mike has an amazing ability to see the potential in his clients and help them maximize their strengths to realize this potential. He is patient with his clients and can also push them to help them reach their goals. He worked with me to help strengthen weak areas of my body and taught me how to truly train to make the most of my workouts.

    Working with Mike, I have lost 40 pounds and have been able to keep the weight off. Not only have I been able to lose weight, but I have also gained a significant amount of muscle and lost fat in areas that have always been problematic for me. I am a much stronger woman physically and mentally because of the work Mike and I have done together. I no longer believe that I am going to fail at what I try because over and over again I have achieved what I never thought possible.  – Sue Shrinkle

  • Working with Mike has completely transformed my body. I have always been in fairly good shape; I play tennis 3-5 times per week and have worked with trainers off over the years for sport specific training and general toning up. Well after having dabbled in fitness for so long, I decided that I wanted to really set my mind to my physique and do a bikini competition. In looking for a trainer/ coach, I was impressed by Mike’s credentials, as he is both a trainer and a nutrition specialist; this was huge to me because you need to know the person who is dictating everything is knowledgeable about how they are affecting your body. And, maybe more importantly to these credentials, I decided to work with Mike in large part because I could also tell he was a good guy; someone I could trust my health and well-being to.

    I honestly didn’t think that I would see that much of a change in my body, my weight and my health when I started with Mike because I was already so active and I ate what I considered then a fairly healthy diet. Well, I was wrong. Fast forward three months from working with Mike 2-3/ week in training and following my diet and my body has been transformed!! I have lost close to 17 pounds, my body fat is practically non-existent, and I feel and look amazing. I am still blown away on a daily basis as to what has happened to my body; and yes, I’ve done the work and stayed on the plan, but all of my success has been the result Mike’s instruction and coaching. I have never once felt unsafe or uncared for with anything he has asked of me, and in fact, if anything, sometimes I want to push, and for my own safety, he tells me to back it off.

    I appreciate so much the time and devotion he shows to his clients, and I would highly recommend working with Mike or someone from his team if you are looking to take your health and fitness to the next level. ~ Becca Fletcher
